After coaching volleyball at the Queensland Academy of Sport for eight years, Chris returned to his hometown of Sydney in 2022 to assume the role of Phoenix Head Coach. In this position, he leads the delivery of volleyball for all Volleyball NSW programs, encompassing both beach and indoor volleyball.
Chris’s career includes leading programs for both men and women in both beach and indoor volleyball. Furthermore, he has had the privilege of working with the Men’s and Women’s senior national programs, solidifying his status as one of the country’s few coaches with experience across all levels and disciplines of volleyball.
Having represented Australia on two occasions himself, Chris brings not only international game experience but also a remarkable track record of coaching state and national teams and pairs.
During the conference, Chris will tackle the crucial topic of supporting athlete autonomy to increase engagement and enhance development.
